Here are the Top 25 results from Week 2

1. Booker T. Washington (3-0) defeated No. 3 Miami Central, 21-20
The Tornadoes held strong in this game to win another close one for the second straight year in a row. \

2. St. Thomas Aquinas (1-0) – IDLE

3. Miami Central (2-1) LOSS TO No. 1 Booker T. Washington, 21-20

Miami Central came close to winning the game, but couldn’t get a last second field goal off as time expired.

4. Miramar (1-1) LOSS TO No. 7 American Heritage – Plantation, 30-26
Close game for Miramar, but came up short in trying to go for a 2-0 start. Does have some issues on offense to sort out though.

5. Mainland (2-0) defeated Spruce Creek, 42-0
Mainland has now shutout their first two opponents of the season and have scored 83 points so far this season. Buccaneers look dangerous to play with.

6. Armwood (2-0) defeated Blake, 37-0
Hawks have rolled by their first two opponents of the season and the Hawks are one of four teams on top of their district standings in District 6A-8

7. American Heritage – Plantation (1-1) defeated No. 4 Miramar, 30-26
Won in a close battle against Miramar. Big redemption after losing badly to No. 2 St. Thomas Aquinas the week before.

8. Cocoa (1-0) defeated Titusville, 31-17
The game was closer than the score indicates. Cooca played alright, but Titusville put on more of a show that saw them challenge Cocoa for most of the game.

9. First Coast (2-0) defeated RV Fletcher, 18-6
Close game in wet weather, which is the big reason for the low amount of scoring.

10. Dr. Phillips (2-0) defeated Olympia, 43-10
Easily handled nearby rival Olympia on Friday night.

11. Trinity Christian – Jacksonville (0-1) – game canceled vs. Warner Christian
Game against Warner Christian was canceled due to weather and poor field conditions in South Daytona. Game could possibly be made up later in the season, but no word if that will happen.

12. Niceville (2-1) defeated Pace, 55-13
The Eagles have quickly forgotten about their loss to Clay-Chalkville, AL and have since steam rolled Rutherford and Pace in Weeks 1 and 2.

13. Osceola – Kissimmee (1-1) LOSS TO RV Lake Mary, 29-28 in Overtime
Game of the Week in Central Florida didn’t disappoint as this game went to overtime to decide the winner.

14. Flanagan (2-0) defeated Fort Lauderdale, 37-8
Easily handled Fort Lauderdale on Friday night to stay undefeated on the season.

15T. Bolles (2-0) defeated DeLand, 47-0
Bolles was the second team to smash DeLand in the first two weeks and also kept DeLand from scoring any points. Bolles has now outscored opponents 91-0 in the first two weeks of the season.

15T. Coral Gables (2-0) defeated Dr. Krop, 30-0
Easily handled Dr. Krop on Friday night at Curtis Park by pitching a shutout.

17. Apopka (1-1) defeated Lake Brantley, 56-7
Rolled past rival Lake Brantley after last week’s home loss to Orlando Oak Ridge.

18. Plant (1-1) defeated Robinson, 46-18
Easily defeated rival Robinson on Friday night in a game that was originally scheduled to be played at Robinson.

19. East Lake (2-0) defeated Largo, 42-0
Handled rival Largo easily on Friday night, pitching a huge shutout and silencing thought that East Lake would have trouble against Largo.

20. Fort Pierce Central (2-0) defeated Port St. Lucie, 33-16
Cobras let Port St. Lucie hang around for a while before finally putting the game away.

21. Naples (2-0) defeated Golden Gate, 44-16
Easily handled crosstown rival Golden Gate to stay undefeated on the season

22. Dwyer (1-1) defeated Jupiter, 41-7
Panthers get first win of the season, but it was over a team not expected to much or make the playoffs this season. Time will only tell here with Dwyer.

23. Clay (2-0) defeated Buchholz, 38-21
Defeated Class 7A Buchholz to move to 2-0 on the season and looking better than last year’s state runner-up team.

24. Columbia (1-1) LOSS TO Lincoln (2-1), 10-7
Columbia couldn’t get anything going on offense for most of the night as Lincoln keyed on the Tigers.

25. Lakeland (2-0) defeated Winter Haven, 20-0
Shutout the Blue Devils on the road to stay undefeated.
