Here is how Florida’s HSFB Top 25 did during Week 3

1. Booker T. Washington (4-0) defeated Miami Carol City, 38-14
Tornadoes easily handled Miami Carol City Friday night to move to 4-0 on the season and extend their state-best winning streak to 30 games which goes back to 2012.

2. St. Thomas Aquinas (1-1) LOST TO Don Bosco Prep (NJ), 24-7
The Raiders performed poorly against Don Bosco Prep on Saturday afternoon in West Point, NY, losing to the Ironmen, 24-7.

3. Miami Central (3-1) defeated Coral Reef, 47-0
The Rockets smashed Coral Reef Friday night, rebounding from a 1 point loss to No 1. Booker T. Washington the week before.

4. Mainland (3-0) defeated RV Lake Wales, 53-9
The Buccaneers rolled by what has been argued as one of the top teams in Polk County this season.

5. American Heritage – Plantation (1-1) – Idle
The Patriots were on a bye week this week. Will resume play next week when the host 3A Chaminade-Madonna.

6. Armwood (3-0) defeated Hillsborough, 26-0
The Hawks shutout district rival Armwood to take a share of 1st place in the district with Lennard (3-0).

7. Miramar (2-1) defeated Plantation, 42-0
Bounced back after last week’s loss to No. 5 American Heritage – Plantation, smashing Plantation, 42-0.

8. First Coast (3-0) defeated Raines, 62-7
Rolled past Raines in what was expected to have been a closer game.

9. Dr. Phillips (3-0) defeated Seminole-Sanford, 44-7
Secured a win very easily at Seminole-Sanford Friday night.

10. Cocoa (2-0) defeated Astronaut, 49-14
Easily defeated Astronaut on Friday to stay undefeated.

11. Flanagan (3-0) defeated Fort Lauderdale, 42-0
Handled the Flying L’s with ease on Friday night to stay undefeated on the season. 

12. Trinity Christian (1-1) defeated University Christian, 42-12
Trinity Christian got to play this week against their original Week 5 opponent and got a win in the process.

13. Niceville (3-1) defeated Pine Forest, 48-0
Eagles secured another win, their third straight this week against Pine Forest.

14. Bolles (3-0) defeated North Marion, 17-6
Held off a tough North Marion team this past week. Bolles has only given up six points in their first three games.

15. Coral Gables (2-1) LOST TO RV Columbus, 14-13
The Cavaliers fell by one point to Columbus this past week and it could be a costly one as it was a district contest.

16. Apopka (2-1) defeated Wekiva, 56-7
Blue Darters get their second win of the season against crosstown rival Wekiva.

17. East Lake (3-0) defeated Dunedin, 38-6
Eagles right now are the best public school team in Pinellas County after rolling through rival Dunedin.

18. Naples (2-1) LOST TO Manatee (2-1), 31-19
The Golden Eagles trip to Bradenton results in a loss.

19. Plant (2-1) defeated Gaither, 37-10
Panthers secure win number two before entering district play against Bloomingdale next week.

20. Fort Pierce Central (2-1) LOST TO No. 21 Osceola – Kissimmee, 28-14
The Cobras couldn’t find a way to bring home the win on a team they defeated last year.

21. Osceola – Kissimmee (2-1) defeated No. 20 Fort Pierce Central, 28-14
Kowboys rebounded from overtime lost to Lake Mary in Week 2 to take down the Cobras in Week 3

22. Lake Mary (2-0) – Idle
Lake Mary was on a bye week this past week and will open up District 8A-2 play at home next week against DeLand.

23. Clay (3-0) defeated Orange Park, 33-13
Blue Devils continue on their streak of winning against larger schools including in-county rival, Orange Park.

24. Lakeland (3-0) defeated Lyman, 49-28
The Dreadnaughts made easy work of they Greyhounds on Friday night to stay undefeated.

25. Oak Ridge (2-1) LOST TO RV West Orange, 42-20
Oak Ridge buckles under the pressure West Orange brought on to suffer first defeat of the season.
