FIRST COAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
– QB Billy Cobb, Jacksonville Trinity Christian – Passed for 284 yards and four touchdowns in Trinity Christian’s 49-6 romp of Ocala Trinity Catholic.
FIRST COAST REGION COACH OF THE WEEK
– Adam Geis, Sandalwood – Led Sandalwood to the first win over rival Fletcher for the first time since 2009. Sandalwood won by the score of 24-17.
OTHER PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
– WR Kyle Keaton, Mandarin – Had 3 catches for 139 yards and 3 touchdowns in Mandarin’s win over rival Atlantic Coast. Keaton’s longest touchdown catch was 71 yards.
– RB Hussein Howe, University Christian – Had 172 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns in University Christian’s 37-0 shutout win over Providence.
– K Estin Thiele, Menendez – Had 5 kickoffs go for touchbacks in first ever football game for Menendez’s 28-8 win over Middleburg.
– RB Tanner Korn, Eagle’s View Academy – Had 7 carries for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns. Longest run was 54 yards. Did not play second half in team’s win against Franklin County.
– QB Eli Peters, Sandalwood – Had 299 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in Sandalwood’s first win over rival Fletcher since 2009.
– RB Bilal Ally, Clay – Rushed for 111 yards and two touchdown’s in Clay’s 28-0 shutdown of rival Fleming Island.
– QB Jake Smith, Clay – 11 of 19 passing for 161 yards and two touchdowns in Clay’s 28-0 shutout of rival Fleming Island.
– RB Alex Brennan, Bishop Snyder – 30 carries for 166 yards rushing and one touchdown in Bishop Snyder’s 26-7 win over Harvest Community.
– QB Erik Hill, Terry Parker – 11 of 19 passing for 265 yards and two touchdowns, plus one rushing touchdown in Terry Parker’s win over Stanton.
– DB Dantaveous Kelly, Crescent City – Had 4 interceptions in Crescent’s City 13-0 win over Hilliard.
– RB Keylan Brown, Oakleaf – Rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown in Oakleaf’s 21-0 win over Westside.
– QB Joseph Brunell, Episcopal – 9 of 9 for 226 yards and four touchdowns in Episcopal’s 44-0 rout of Wolfson.
– RB Hal Swan, Ponte Vedra – Scored both touchdowns for Ponte Vedra in a 17-3 win over rival Nease. Finished the night with 17 carries for 73 yards.
– RB David Coleman, Bartram Trail – Rushed for 147 yards and one touchdown in Bartram Trail’s 31-16 win over Bishop Kenny.
– RB Amari Terry, Bolles – Had 135 yards rushing on 11 carries and one touchdown in Bolle’s 49-29 win over Lake Mary.
– RB Akari Boss, Paxon – Had 224 yards rushing and two touchdowns for Paxon in their 38-21 loss to Englewood.
– QB KJ Jefferson, Englewood – 8 of 12 passing for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns in Englewood’s 38-21 win over Paxon.
– Christ’s Church Academy Defense – Coach Jim Stomps nominated his entire defensive unit that only gave up 58 total yards in a shutout win over Faith Christian.
