– QB Jhakai Harrison, Coconut Creek – Went 21 of 24 for 361 yards passing and threw 3 touchdowns in Coconut Creek’s win 41-21 win over Marist, GA.
BROWARD COUNTY COACH OF THE WEEK
– Jason Milgrom, Chaminade-Madonna – Led Chaminade-Madonna to a big win over a bigger Belen Jesuit program to open up the 2015 season.
OTHER PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
– RB Anthony Rey, Jr., Archbishop McCarthy – Rushed 20 times for 189 yards and a touchdown in the Mavericks 21-14 win over Barron Collier.
– WR Trayvon Mullen, Coconut Creek – 10 receptions for 103 yards receiving and 1 touchdown from 50 yards in Coconut Creek’s 41-21 win over Marist, GA.
– WR Cavin Ridley, Deerfield Beach – 5 catches for 125 yards receiving and one touchdown. Longest catch came on a 70-yard touchdown reception.
– QB Shabazz Telfort, Boyd Anderson – Went 16 for 22 for 262 yards passing and four touchdowns in the Cobras 50-7 win over South Broward.
– QB Stanford Samuels, Flanagan – Went 16 of 19 on passing for 235 yard and three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in Flanagan’s 35-7 win over Douglas.
– RB Shaun Shivers, Chaminade-Madonna – Had 17 carries for 151 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns as well as 3 receptions for 38 yards. Longest touchdown run was of 74 yards.
– WR Elijah Moore, Western – Had 65 yard touchdown reception on the first play of the game. Finished with 163 receiving yards on 6 receptions and two total touchdowns.
– QB Tyler Monaco, Western – Went 15 of 26 passing for 297 yards and three touchdowns in Western’s 29-0 shutout of Goleman.
– QB Jake Allen, St. Thomas Aquians – 17 of 25 for 259 yards passing and threw for 4 touchdowns in a 35-3 rout of Booker T. Washington on national television.
– RB Devonta’e Henry Cole, St. Thomas Aquinas – 119 yards rushing on 25 carries and one touchdown in in a 35-3 rout of Booker T. Washington on national television.
– LB Tyrik Jones, Plantation – Recorded three sacks in Plantation’s 19-7 season opener against Cardinal Gibbons.
– WR Bradley Royce, South Plantation – Had 182 receiving yards and one touchdown catch in South Plantation’s 26-13 win over Cooper City.
– DT Chris Judge, Coral Springs Charter – Had 5 sacks, 8 total tackles and caught a deflected pass and scored from 2-yards out in Coral Springs Charter’s 51-7 win over Benjamin.
