– QB Owen Levine, Spanish River – Had 340 yards passing and threw for three touchdowns, while also scoring a touchdown run in the Sharks’ 54-0 dispatch of Cardinal Newman.
PALM BEACHES COACH OF THE WEEK
– Keith Hindsley, American Heritage (Delray) – Led the Stallions to a 20-14 road victory over a very tough Class 6A Naples program to open the season.
OTHER PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
– RB Marquis Waters, Village Academy – Had 155 total yards and two touchdowns in a tough 26-20 loss to North Broward Prep.
– RB Travis Homer, Oxbridge Academy – 13 carries for 96 yards rushing and two touchdowns in Oxbridge’s 46-0 dispatch of Gulliver Prep.
– QB Angelo Navaroli, Oxbridge Academy – Went 19 of 27 passing for 200 yards and one touchdown while adding a touchdown run in leading Oxbridge to a 46-0 win over Gulliver Prep.
– QB Cameron Smith, American Heritage (Delray) – Had three total touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing) in defeating a tough Naples team, 20-14, on the road.
– WR Robbie Geller, Spanish River – Had 7 catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns in Spanish River’s 54-0 shutout of Cardinal Newman.
– RB Voshon Jackson, Inlet Grove – Had 210 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns for the Hurricanes as they pick up their first win, defeating Jupiter Christian 32-12.
– QB Zavion Thompson, Atlantic (Delray) – The junior QB threw for three touchdowns in Atlantic’s 49-7 rout of Wellington to open the season.
– RB Ja’kevious Vickers, Glades Central – Rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns in Glades Central’s 34-20 win over Royal Palm Beach.
– QB Philip Santiago, Boca Raton – 11 of 29 on passing for 177 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in Boca Raton’s 30-16 win over rival West Boca Raton.
– QB John Smith, Park Vista – Had 120 rushing yards and one touchdown in Park Vista’s 16-0 shutout of Palm Beach Central.
– RB Dennis Hubbard, Palm Beach Gardens – Had 143 rushing yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns in Palm Beach Gardens’ 26-6 victory over John I. Leonard.
