2015 PLAYOFF WATCH: Class 6A – Week 9

Here is a complete list of clinching and elimination scenarios for Week 9 (Oct 21-24).

Records in parenthesis go by overall record first, with district record following after.

District 6A-1

District Championship Game – October 30
Pine Forest (6-1, 2-0) and Tate (6-1, 2-0) – Will decide both district champion and runner-up spots next week.

Eliminated
Escambia (4-4, 0-2), Pensacola Washington (0-7, 0-2)

District 6A-2

Still Alive
Navarre (8-0, 2-0), Pace (3-5, 1-1), Gulf Breeze (2-6, 1-1), Milton (5-2, 0-2) – District race will be decided next week.

District 6A-3

Still Alive
Niceville (6-1, 2-0), Choctawhatchee (4-3, 1-1), Crestview (4-4, 1-1), Fort Walton Beach (1-6, 0-1) – District race will be decided next week.

District 6A-4

Can Clinch District Championship
St. Augustine (7-0, 2-0) – Can clinch district championship with win over Nease.
Nease (5-2, 2-0) – Can clinch district championship with win over St. Augustine AND Ed White win over Englewood.

Facing Elimination
Englewood (5-2, 1-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Ed White AND Nease win over St. Augustine.
Ed White (2-5, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Englewood OR Nease win over St. Augustine

District 6A-5

Can Clinch Playoff Berth
Gainesville (4-4, 2-1) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Leesburg AND Lake Weir win over Vanguard.

Ocala Vanguard (5-2, 2-0), Forest (6-2, 2-1)

Facing Elimination
Lake Weir (5-2, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Vanguard.
Leesburg (2-5, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Gainesville.

District 6A-6

Can Clinch District Championship
Mitchell (6-1, 2-0) – Can clinch district championship with win over Sunlake AND Pasco win over Land O’ Lakes.

Can Clinch District Championship OR District Runner-Up
Sunlake (7-0, 3-0) – Can clinch district championship with win over Mitchell OR can clinch district runner-up with loss to Mitchell AND Pasco win over Land O’ Lakes.

Facing Elimination
Land O’ Lakes (3-4, 1-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Pasco AND Mitchell win over Sunlake.
Pasco (3-4, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Land O’ Lakes.

Armwood (7-0, 3-0) – Can clinch district championship with win over King.

Can Clinch District Runner-up
Brandon (5-2, 2-1) – Can clinch district runner-up with win over Hillsborough AND Armwood win over King.

King (3-4, 2-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Brandon win over Hillsborough.
Blake (4-4, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Chamberlain OR Brandon win over King.
Hillsborough (4-4, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Brandon.

Lake Gibson (5-3, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with Sebring win over Lake Wales.

Lake Wales (3-3, 1-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Sebring.
Auburndale (1-6, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Lake Region OR Sebring win over Lake Wales.

District 6A-9

Can Clinch Playoff Berth
Clearwater (6-1, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Largo AND Osceola win over Boca Ciega.
Seminole Osceola (4-2, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Boca Ciega AND Clearwater win over Largo.

Facing Elimination
Largo (5-3, 2-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Clearwater AND Osceola win over Boca Ciega.
Boca Ciega (1-6, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Osceola.

Charlotte (7-0, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Cape Coral AND Port Charlotte win over Island Coast.
Port Charlotte (4-3, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Island Coast AND Charlotte win over Cape Coral.

Cape Coral (2-5, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Charlotte.
Island Coast (2-6, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Port Charlotte.

Ida Baker (3-5, 1-2), North Fort Myers (2-5, 0-3)
