There is still a lot of good in this world.
Some of that good can be found with some of the members of Titusville Terriers football program who took it upon themselves to pay it forward after Hurricane Matthew just skirted by the area off the coast early Friday morning, Florida Today, reported.
With debris, downed trees and houses without power, the group of five teammates that included Tri-Marea Charles, Michael Squires, Christopher Squires, Moses Walters and Gibran Williams, grouped together to help clean up things in the Sherwood Estates neighborhood in Northern Brevard County.
“The group of five went house to house. The neighbors stopped by our house to tell us how awesome the boys were,” said Clara Gill-Squires, told Florida Today. Gill-Squires is the mother to two of the players. “We live in an area of Sherwood that has older residents that could not do some of the larger part of the jobs at all. The boys were a great help to them.”
All of this just reminds us that sometimes an unexpected event can bring out the good in people, especially our up-and-coming generations.
