GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hey football athletes, it is your chance to get into the spotlight every week during the 2018 season with FloridaHSFootball.com!
Today, FloridaHSFootball.com is proud to announce a new partnership with the Riddell Sports Group’s Florida sales representatives presenting the Riddell Player of the Week Award in each of the eight classifications in the Sunshine State.
Each week eight (one from each classification) outstanding players from the previous week during the 11-week regular season will be named the Riddell Player of the Week for their classification and will be rewarded with some cool swag from FloridaHSFootball.com and Riddell!
The process to becoming a Riddell Player of the Week will start with a simple nomination from either the FloridaHSFootball.com Staff nominating you through information we collect independently for that week or your head coach (or dedicated assistant coach) will be able to submit a nomination between Friday night and Sunday evening directly through our nomination form on FloridaHSFootball.com. If you are not nominated by either method then you can’t be the Riddell Player of the Week, even if you claim to have had the best performance of any player that week.
Week 1 nominations will open up around 10:15 p.m. ET on Friday night on FloridaHSFootball.com (look for the links on social media and on the home page directly on FloridaHSFootball.com) and will close at 6:00 p.m. ET on Sunday evenings. After that, listen to the FloridaHSFootball.com Radio Show Wednesday nights during the season from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on Spreaker.com/FloridaHSFootball or right here on FloridaHSFootball.com to find out who will be named the Riddell Player of the Week. After that come to FloridaHSFootball.com during the season for photos of the Riddell Players of the Week enjoying their swag they have received!
EDITOR’S NOTE: Once an athlete has been selected Player of the Week during the season they will not be able to be selected again, but will be eligible for mention by us if they have big performances that should be recognized.
