TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK PREVIEW: Carrollwood Day at Bishop McLaughlin

Carrollwood Day Patriots (2-1) at Bishop McLaughlin Hurricanes (3-0)

Where: Bishop McLaughlin Field, Spring Hill

Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET

Coaches: Mark Jones, Carrollwood Day; Ken Stills, Bishop McLaughlin

Skinny: Both teams are coming into this game with some of their best starts in school history and coming off big wins last week. Let us start with the visiting Patriots who took a trip up to Fort White last week, drubbing them 42-0. Quarterback Brendan Palamar went 8-of-13 for 190 yards passing and three touchdowns in the win and spread the ball around to a handful of receivers which the leading receiver last week was Bredell Richardson (2024) with 87 yards receiving and a touchdown. Kylenn Webb (2023) led in rushing for the Patriots with 101 yards on 12 carries, scoring twice. For the host Hurricanes, they are coming off a 42-7 win over Seven Rivers Christian. Quarterback Adrian Miller III (2022) accounted for 355 yards of total offense (130 passing, 225 rushing) and accounted for four total touchdowns (two rushing and two passing) in the win. Receiver Dontrevius Jackson (2022) had four catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns in the win, plus had an interception on defense.
