Charlotte Tarpons (4-0) at Fort Myers Green Wave (1-1)

When: Friday

Where: Sam Sirianni Field – Edison Stadium, Fort Myers

Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET

Radio: WGUF 98.9 FM Naples/Fort Myers – Live Stream

Coaches: Wade Taylor, Charlotte; Sam Sirianni Jr., Fort Myers

Skinny: The visiting Tarpons have gotten off to a hot start under first-year head coach Wade Taylor who took over after legendary coach Binky Waldrop retired from coaching at the end of last season. Last week the Tarpons battled hard against an incredibly talented Lehigh squad, winning the battle 21-16 to stay undefeated. Quarterback John Busha (2021) will be one to keep an eye on as he is a dual-threat to any opposing defense. Last week Busha went 6-of-13 passing for 54 yards and an interception, but made it count more through the ground game with 25 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, linebacker Connor Trim (2023) lead the way last week with 10 tackles while defensive back Ethan Redden (2021) had five tackles and an interception in the win. For the host Green Wave, they are coming off a 29-14 win over rival South Fort Myers to pick up the first win of the season. Quarterback Carter Lane (2021) went 8-of-17 passing last week for 145 yards and had a touchdown and interception each while running back Zemare Harvin (2021) had 95 yards rushing on 18 carries and scored three touchdowns. Defensively, Jabemnajik Lubert (2021) led the team in tackles last week while Greg Delaine (2022) and Spencer Yeager (2023) each had an interception for the Green Wave.
