Season Outlook: With 12 of 21 starters returning from last year’s state runner-up team in Class 8A, the Blue Darters will be well seasoned and experienced for a potential run for the Class 4M State Championship in 2022. Athletes like Call, Ferguson, Nicholson, and Wright will be huge contributors once again for Apopka. The biggest challenge, however, for Apopka will be the fact of their very tough district which includes another Class 4M contender in Sanford Seminole along with Lake Mary who could prove to be a dark horse in the district. Overall, Apopka will be very fun to watch in 2022.
