Welcome to the FloridaHSFootball.com Power Rankings Index. The index ranks teams and forecasts games based on strength of schedule including the strength of opposition, margin of victory with more recent games weighing more heavily in factor. This year the Power Rankings Index will be in Beta testing which means tweaks and modifications to the formula are possible as the season progresses.
GAME FORECASTS
The forecasted margin of victory is determined by subtracting the power ranking of the lower-rated team from the power ranking of the higher rated team to get the forecasted margin of victory.
With this week’s forecast, it will start with the Sunshine State Athletic Association’s 8-Man league where the regular season will get underway on Friday.
This forecast was updated to reflect a modification in the new formula that reflects better on the teams and data that is being used to forecast and rank teams.
