It is game week and Week 1 of the 2023 football season is here and with that, it is time to look at the first rankings of the season as we embark on who is going to march towards a state championship.

As we will do each week during the regular season and postseason, we will update our rankings weekly with the Florida Top 25 rankings (which you can view here), Top 10 rankings for all nine classifications, plus Top 10 rankings for SSAA 11-Man and SSAA 8-Man football while providing a Top 5 ranking for SSAA Atlantic League and Independents. We will release updated rankings each week on Tuesday’s during the season following Week 1.

Also of note, preseason games were not factored in to determining the rankings as kickoff classics took places in a variety of formats.
