As the 2025 high school football season kicks off, the Florida Power Rankings Index (FPRI) delivers its first official Florida Power 25 of the year — a data-driven projection of how the state’s elite programs stack up before the first snap. Built exclusively on results from the 2024 season and the complete 2025 schedules, the FPRI applies a proprietary formula factoring Opponent Strength Index (OSI), average margin of victory, and an overall performance rating to generate accurate, unbiased rankings. Transfers, coaching changes, and other opinion-based factors are not part of the equation — every position in the rankings is earned solely through on-field data. With every number rooted in performance, the FPRI sets the baseline for what’s expected in the months ahead — and which teams have the most to prove.
