After reviewing box scores and standout highlights, we narrowed the field down to 10 finalists for the second The Blitz – Tampa Bay Football Player of the Week award. We also spotlighted a few more athletes who were strongly considered.

QB Noah Walstad, Boca Ciega
Congratulations to Boca Ciega QB Noah Walstad on winning The Blitz – Tampa Bay Player of the Week for Week 1! Walstad completed 16 of 22 passes for 381 yards and six touchdowns in a 69–22 win over Hollins.
WEEK 2 NOMINEES
RB Steven Alexis, Gibbs
Exploded for 204 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries, adding a 30-yard reception to finish with 234 total yards in the 34–7 win over Countryside.
RB Kameron Battle, Carrollwood Day
Dominated the ground game with 166 rushing yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns, leading the Patriots’ 56–0 victory over Providence.
QB Chase Burrill, St. Petersburg Catholic
Surgically efficient with 395 yards and four touchdowns on 22-of-29 passing, leading the Barons to a 47–7 blowout of Tampa Catholic.
WR Jermiah Cooper, East Lake
Took over the game with six catches for 173 yards and a touchdown, plus a 94-yard kickoff return touchdown, finishing with 319 all-purpose yards in the 34–23 victory over Pinellas Park.
DE Jacquey Ferguson Jr., Northside Christian
Dominated on defense with five tackles, 3.0 sacks, and three forced fumbles, while also scoring a touchdown in Northside Christian’s 39–7 rout over First Baptist.
QB Myles McDonald, Carrollwood Day
Picked apart the defense with 309 yards and two touchdowns on 14-of-20 passing to fuel the Patriots’ 56–0 rout of Providence.
QB Ta’Vare Miller, Plant City
Had a near-perfect night completing 18 of 23 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 79 yards, as the Raiders topped Durant 31–10.
RB Lane Roberts, Calvary Christian (Clearwater)
Powered the Warriors with 303 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 32 carries in a thrilling 42–38 victory over Lely.
LB Michael Willock, Palm Harbor University
Made a huge impact with seven tackles, five tackles for loss, and four sacks to anchor a dominant defensive showing in the 34–7 win over Tarpon Springs.
RB Leelen Wright, Weeki Wachee
Carried the offense with 221 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 20 attempts, plus an 8-yard TD reception, finishing with 229 total yards in the 50–41 win over Lake Placid.
