No. 2 Alonso defeated Plant, 19-6, in the Ravens’ season opener behind a standout performance from wide receiver Juliet Gambino, who was named the varsity Player of the Game. Gambino hauled in three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown while also adding an interception on the defensive side of the ball. Alonso will have a week off before returning to action against Sickles on Feb. 26.
