The following rankings represent the complete FPRI ratings for the TOP 25 flag football programs in Florida after Week 1 of the 2026 season.
Rankings are calculated using the Florida Power Rankings Index’s two-year historical blend, incorporating game results, strength of schedule, point differential, and opponent quality. Teams are listed in order of their FPRI rating, which serves as the baseline for all championship probability calculations throughout the season.
Important: The Florida Power Rankings Index represents our best educated—and mathematical—assessment of team strength during the 2026. The FHSAA MaxPreps Power Rankings will determine official district tournament seeding and regional playoff seeding. These FPRI ratings are analytical tools for understanding the competitive landscape of all of Florida’s classifications, not official FHSAA rankings.
Ratings will update weekly throughout the season as game results are recorded. Independent schools are included in regional rankings but are not eligible for FHSAA district tournaments or playoffs.
QUICK ANALYSIS
ROBINSON & ALONSO: What can we say, already coming in hot into the season and the quest for 10 got started off on the right now the Knights keep a hold of that No. 1 spot after defeating now-No. 13 Lenanrd 27-13 to open the season. Alonso, who is also on title defense got things started with a 19-6 win over Plant.
TOP 5: The only changes inside the Top 5 was Wildwood moving up two spots — despite having not played a game yet — and Seminole Ridge dropping two spots. Part of the reason Seminole Ridge dropped two spots comes down to early teams played so far on the strength of schedule basis, so really wouldn’t perceive it as a slight on the Hawks here just after one week and four games in that included winning the JDHC Bracket at the inagural Broward County Girls Flag Football Classic.
TOP 10: Fort Pierce Central slips outside of the Top 10 and that might be part in how rocky the season got started for Spruce Creek (who went from No. 17 to No. 42 this week). The Cobras beat them 46-0 last week, but it was the loss to Flagler Palm Coast that did not help Spruce Creek and didn’t help things for the Cobras ranking this week. Expect this to be a temporary push down for the Cobras. Choctawhatchee, Pace, and Miami Palmetto all enter the Top 10 this week. Western also slipped outside of the Top 10 and part of that comes down to the opponents played inside the Dave & Buster’s Bracket at the inagural Broward County Girls Flag Football Classic, where they took home that bracket’s title over the weekend.
STILL EARLY: It is still early and the rankings are going to be fluid until teams play more games which may take until Week 4 before the majority of teams have at least 6 to 7 games under their belt.
NEW TEAMS IN THE TOP 25: Several new teams entered the FLORIDA POWER 25 including Belleview, Timber Creek, and Harmony replacing Spruce Creek (No. 17 last week), Boyd Anderson (No. 22 last week) and Haines City (No. 24 last week).
Rankings compiled from all games played through Saturday, Februray 21, 2026.
