    Answer #3 is b. Bartow

Bartow beat Bolles 14-13 in the 1996 Class 4A title game.  Bartow's program took a hard dive after that win.

Bartow's coach, Danny Rea Smith, had coached previously at St Cloud and was one of only 4 coaches to beat Corky Rogers in a state title game(Ice Harris/BTW, Joe Zaccheo/Miami Pace, John Wilkinson/Cocoa are the others).

Bolles had won titles in 1990, 1993 and 1995.  Coming into that game, they had a 27-game winning streak, were ranked #1 by USA Today, and had 9 D1 commits, including Chris Reier at qb(who later played for Alabama).

Reier broke his leg in the first few plays which was devastating for Bolles

Both teams consolidated before the 1967 season to form Wakulla County High. They have won 2 state championships in their history.

  3. The big center was Phil Bromley who was center on 84’ Gators “Great Wall of Florida”. Before Coach Sharpe’s run at Andalusia, he was assistant under Billy Livings at Jeff Davis (Montgomery) and track coach winning 3 state titles in track and field. Coach Livings became the first coach to win state titles in Alabama (Jeff Davis) and Florida (80 or 81) at Vero Beach soon followed by Coach Sharpe at Andalusia and Woodham.
