Welcome to the Florida Power Rankings Index powered by FloridaHSFootball.com. The Florida Power Rankings Index strive to be something that both tackle and girls flag football fans from around the Sunshine State and the nation will come and check out on a weekly basis.

The Florida Power Rankings Index has been in development over the last three years following the passing of rankings expert Joe Pinkos, who for many years had his forecasts and power rankings published right here on FloridaHSFootball.com.

As we enter the 2026 flag football and tackle football seasons, we’re excited to unveil the Enhanced Florida Power Rankings Index – a complete rebuild of our rating system incorporating lessons learned from both the 2025 tackle football season and the 2025 girls flag football season.

The new system features fully automated daily updates, advanced strength of schedule calculations, game predictions with win probabilities and projected scores, championship odds tracking (district, playoff, and state levels), and recent form weighting to capture team momentum. Both tackle and flag football are tracked with sport-specific adjustments while maintaining the same rigorous mathematical foundation.

We post rankings weekly during both seasons, with Premium Season Ticket subscribers getting access to complete rankings for all teams, win probabilities for every game, championship odds with week-over-week tracking, and advanced statistical breakdowns.

A majority of the Florida Power Rankings Index will need a Premium Season Ticket Subscription (Yearly or Monthly) to view all the information and data we have collected that makes up the rankings.
