NICEVILLE | Who said you can never go home later in life? Don’t tell that to Aaron Daniel, who is heading back home Niceville after accepting a coaching position under head coach John Hicks, the Northwest Florida Daily News has reported.
Daniel, who has spent the last few years at Navarre as the offensive coordinator, took the opportunity to come home where he will be the quarterbacks coach for an Eagles program that has success over the last few years.
The vacancy for an assistant came open last week after Dale More left to return to his alma mater, Fort Myers Cypress Lake.
And for Hicks, he excited about having Daniel on board, especially with comments coming from college coaches who have seen Daniel’s work.
Daniel was a candidate last year for Crestview head coaching job that went to former DeLand coach Kevin Pettis.
