NAPLES | Just several week removed from Mark Ivey’s resignation at Naples Barron Collier, the Cougars have their next head coach and didn’t have far to go to get him. As a matter of fact down the hallway in the school.
The Naples Daily News has reported that Dan Pallante, who has been assistant coach under Ivey the past two seasons, was the choice of Barron Collier’s athletic director Mark Rosenbalm and principal Tim Kutz.
Pallante has an extensive coaching background, where he has had held five head coaching jobs in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
He teaches social studies for the school, the report said.
