Phil Hayford will coach next year at St. Petersburg Canterbury as an assistant
After several months of sitting on the sideline and searching for his next opportunity to coach high school football, former St. Petersburg Shorecrest Prep head coach Phil Hayford will be taking a short drive down the street. The Tampa Bay Times has reported that Hayford has accepted an assistant coaching position at St. Petersburg Canterbury after turning down the Hudson job in the last week and withdrawing his name from the Naples Barron Collier coaching search. His official role will be defensive coordinator and will start his duties with spring football while wrapping things up at Shorecrest Prep. Dante Fowler’s brother transfer schools in St. Petersburg
The next Fowler name to be rising through the ranks in St. Petersburg has just left one school and heading to the north part of the city to another. The Tampa Bay Times has reported that Donterio Fowler, the younger brother to Dante Fowler has transferred in to St. Petersburg Northeast after being at St. Petersburg Lakewood. Brooksville Hernando’s Hudson gets first Division I offer
Hernando defensive lineman Malcolm Hudson landed his first Division I offer from Army, the Tampa Bay Times has reported. The West Point, NY academy offered Hudson during a visit to the school, Hernando coach John Palmer told the Times. You can read more by clicking here.
