As summer reaches its apex and high school football players are gearing up to hit the practice field and start the 2012 season, the perfect way for fans across Florida to prepare is here — as the fourth annual edition of “Friday Night Football Florida” magazine reaches newsstands July 20.
Friday Night Football Florida, or FNF Florida, is produced annually by St. Petersburg-based A.E. Engine, a publisher that produces similar high school football previews in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama under the FNF brand.
FNF Florida is 112 oversized, full-color pages and contains features and in-depth previews of 552 FHSAA high school football programs. With the 2012 season set to kickoff on August 31, the magazine’s extensive team previews are complemented by feature stories, player statistics and recruiting information as well as predictions and rankings of every kind.
The front cover features Glades Day’s Kelvin Taylor, the state’s all-time leading rusher. Taylor, a University of Florida verbal commit and the son of Florida Gator great Fred Taylor, broke NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith’s (Escambia) state rushing record last year.
FNF Florida also features one of the most comprehensive series of recruiting watch lists compiled in any form in the state. Included in this section are FNF Florida’s first-, second- and third-team preseason all-state teams, rankings of the Top 100 seniors, and lists of players to watch for the Class of 2014, 2015 and 2016.
“Florida means football, and our magazine covers high school football statewide like no other. There is no other magazine in Florida of its kind,” said Craig Baroncelli, publisher, and president of A.E. Engine. “From our cover story, features and rankings all the way to team-by-team previews for 552 varsity programs, FNF Florida is an entertaining and valuable resource for fans, athletes and teams alike.”
FNF Florida magazine will be available at traditional newsstand outlets and high school campuses statewide. It is also available to order online at www.Floridafootballmag.com.
