DISTRICT OUTLOOK
Who’s In:
1. Wildwood – The Wildcats welcome in new head coach Jimbo Hale this year and is already making necessary changes to fit the team’s strengths. Depth is there most importantly and the win total should increase compared to last year’s four wins despite winning the district and making the playoffs. This is one team not to take lightly.
Fighting It Out:
2. Crescent City – Gone is DT Caleb Brantley, but that does not mean the Raiders will slide of the charts just like that. Coach Al Smith has nice plethora of talent returning that will be more experienced and helping to keep Crescent City on the right track after making the playoffs last season. If anything a big spring football win over P.K. Yonge does help.
3. Taylor (Pierson) – Numbers have been traditionally a factor for this program and it is the same story line again. Coach Antwan Williams is going to be looking to make the most what he has available. While the district will be a bit challenging, Taylor was in the same situation last year and was in playoff contention until towards the end, something we expect should happen again.
