2015 District Projections: Class 1A, Regions I & II – Districts 1, 2, 3 & 4

District projections for Class 1A – Regions I & II for the 2015 season.

REGION I

District 1A-1
1. Baker
2. Northview
3. Jay

Comment:District 1 becomes a three-team district this year in Class 1A. Baker will certainly lead the way with Northview following just behind it. Jay could surprise everyone, but will need to get at least one upset win over Baker or Northview to make a statement.

District 1A-2
1. Vernon
2. Sneads
3. Graceville
4. Cottondale
5. Holmes County
6. Wewahitchka

Comment: District 2 becomes a six-team district this season with the addition of Holmes County from District 3. However, we feel Vernon and Sneads are the two most talented teams in the district and should be able to take the two playoff spots. Graceville and Cottondale will follow behind and could make statement with upset wins over Vernon or Sneads. Holmes County and Wewahitchka will round out the back end of the district.

REGION II

District 1A-3
1. Port St. Joe
2. Blountstown
3. South Walton
4. Freeport
5. Bozeman

Comment:Some changes to District 3 this season as Port St. Joe moves over from District 4 while Freeport moves from District 1. Port St. Joe is the favorite to win this district with Blountstown not very far behind. South Walton should be a challenger for the playoff spot and a win over either of the top two teams in the district could send things into an uncertainty. Freeport and Bozeman will find it a struggle to compete in the district this season.

District 1A-4
1. Liberty County
2. Chipley
3. West Gadsden
4. Franklin County

Comment: Liberty County becomes the top team in the district after Port St. Joe moved to District 4. However, the runner-up spot could be decided upon Chipley, who moved over from District 3, and West Gadsden. Franklin County will once again struggle this season, while they transition to a new head coach.
