District projections for Class 1A – Regions III & IV for the 2015 season.
REGION III
District 1A-5
1. Madison County
2. Hamilton County
3. Lafayette
4. Jefferson County
5. Bell
Comment: Big changes in this district as Madison County enters Class 1A this year and is an instant favorite to win the district. Hamilton County will likely finish as the runner-up, with Lafayette battling for the that spot as well. Jefferson County and Bell will need to show serious improvement to be considered for a playoff spot.
District 1A-6
1. Union County
2. Fort White
3. Hilliard
4. Baldwin
5. Hawthorne
Comment:Union County and Fort White, which moved down from Class 4A, will battle it out for the two playoff spots. Hilliard will likely follow behind that, but will find it tough as they bring in a new head coach this season. Baldwin and Hawthrone will round off the back end of the district.
REGION IV
District 1A-7
1. Dixie County
2. Trenton
3. Newberry
4. Williston
5. Chiefland
6. Bronson
7. Branford
Comment:The toughest district in Class 1A now, we can see Dixie County, Trenton and Newberry all battling out for the two playoff spots. The question will be if the district ends up in a tiebreaker situation which could be possible. Williston and Chiefland will be in the middle tier of the district with Bronson and Branford following things up at the end.
District 1A-8
1. Fort Meade
2. Pahokee
3. Frostproof
4. Crescent City
5. Taylor (Pierson)
Comment: What was once a six-team district, the district will still have five teams with at least three being so competitive that a tiebreaker situation could be possible at the end of the season. Fort Meade and Pahokee are both seen as teams that could make a run to Orlando and Frostproof could be seen as as a dark horse. Crescent City and Pierson Taylor will find it tough make noise in the district.
