BIG BEND PLAYER OF THE WEEK
– K Jack Driggers, Leon – Had two touchbacks on kickoffs, 1 for 1 on extra points as well as kicking the 42-yards game winning field goal as time expired in Leon’s 10-7 upset win over Suwannee.
BIG BEND COACH OF THE WEEK
– Tim Cokely, Leon – Led the Leon Lions to their first win of their 100th season of high school football in an upset 10-7 win over a ranked Suwannee team.
OTHER PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
– RB Shane Sanders, Chiles – 26 carries for 145 yards and two touchdowns, plus 3 punt returns for 82 yards and a score in Chiles win over East Gadsden.
– RB Terrell Powell, North Florida Christian – 12 carries fo 147 yards and 2 touchdowns including an 80-yard touchdown as well as the game-winning touchdown from 27 yards in North Florida Christian’s win over Deerfield-Windsor, GA. Finished with 225 all-purpose and three total touchdowns.
– QB Kentwan Daniels, Madison County – Rushed for 137 yards on 22 carries and one touchdown in Madison County’s 20-14 loss to Rickards.
– RB Patrick Brown, Madison County – Rushed 17 times for 124 yards and one touchdown in Madison County’s 20-14 loss to Rickards.
– QB D.J. Phillips, Rickards – 21 of 35 passing for 189 yards and one touchdown in Rickard’s 20-14 win over Madison County.
– QB Isaiah Hill, Florida High – Went 11 of 16 for 167 yards and one touchdown in Florida High’s 29-22 win over Arnold.
– WR Karenz Stephens, Florida High – Caught five catches for 135 yards including the game winning touchdown in Florida High’s 29-22 win over Arnold.
– DB Henry Segura III, Leon – 15 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 pass deflection and 1 fumble recovery in Leon’s 10-7 upset win over Suwannee.
– QB Jack Brady, Maclay – 13 of 26 for 217 and 2 touchdowns, plus one rushing touchdown in Maclay’s 37-25 loss to Brookwood School, GA.
– LB John Sniffen, Maclay – 13 tackles, 11 which were solo, 1 sack, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery in Maclay’s close 37-25 loss to Brookwood School, GA.
