STATEWIDE PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
PANHANDLE: RB Anthony Johnson Jr., Sr., Pace – The junior running back rushed for 360 yards and six touchdown in Pace’s 49-28 drubbing of Fort Walton Beach.
BIG BEND: K Jack Driggers, Leon – Had two touchbacks on kickoffs, 1 for 1 on extra points as well as kicking the 42-yards game winning field goal as time expired in Leon’s 10-7 upset win over Suwannee.
NORTH CENTRAL: QB Davin Schuck, Columbia – 12 of 24 passing for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns in Columbia’s 57-38 win over Gainesville.
FIRST COAST: QB Billy Cobb, Jacksonville Trinity Christian – Passed for 284 yards and four touchdowns in Trinity Christian’s 49-6 romp of Ocala Trinity Catholic.
EAST CENTRAL: Matanzas Defense, Matanzas – Coach Robert Ripley nominated his entire defensive unit after Matanzas finally claimed their first victory in school history over rival Flagler Palm Coast.
WEST CENTRAL: QB Nick Sproles, Winter Park – Threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns in a 21-9 win over Lake Nona.
HEARTLAND: WR RB Marlow, Lakeland Christian – 7 catches for 173 yards receiving and 3 touchdown catches in Lakeland Christian’s 41-0 victory over Mulberry.
NORTH SUNCOAST: RB Glass Wilson, Ridgewood – Had 274 yards rushing for 38 carries and scored three touchdowns in Ridgewood’s thrilling 35-34 win over Weeki Wachee.
TAMPA BAY: RB Jahryn Bailey, Lennard – 18 carries for 214 yards rushing and 2 touchdown in Lennard’s big win over Spoto.
SOUTHWEST: RB E’Quan Dorris, South Fort Myers – Rushed fo 202 yards and three touchdowns in South Fort Myers’ 33-10 rout of Island Coast.
EAST COAST: LB Nathanael Nicholson, Centennial – Had 10 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2 fumble recoveries and 2 defensive touchdowns in Centennial’s 21-7 win over Melbourne.
PALM BEACHES: QB Owen Levine, Spanish River – Had 340 yards passing and threw for three touchdowns, while also scoring a touchdown run in the Sharks’ 54-0 dispatch of Cardinal Newman.
BROWARD: QB Jhakai Harrison, Coconut Creek – Went 21 of 24 for 361 yards passing and threw 3 touchdowns in Coconut Creek’s win 41-21 win over Marist, GA.
MIAMI-DADE & KEYS: WR Jerron Rollins, Sr., Columbus – Had 6 receptions for 85 yards and four touchdowns in Columbus’ 38-25 win over Miami Jackson that spanned over three days and two stadium sites.

PANHANDLE: Jay Walls, Navarre – Coach Walls has lead Navarre to a fast start in which the team has scored over 100 points in their first two games of the season.
BIG BEND: Tim Cokely, Leon – Led the Leon Lions to their first win of their 100th season of high school football in an upset 10-7 win over a ranked Suwannee team.
NORTH CENTRAL: Kepa Sarduy, Newberry – Led the underdog Panthers to a thrilling 21-12 home victory over arch-rival Santa Fe to open the season.
FIRST COAST: Adam Geis, Sandalwood – Led Sandalwood to the first win over rival Fletcher for the first time since 2009. Sandalwood won by the score of 24-17.
EAST CENTRAL: Robert Ripley, Matanzas – The gap has closed between Matanzas and Flagler Palm Coast and the guy that has been the leader of it all get the honors after leading the Pirates to the first win over their rival in Week 1.
WEST CENTRAL: Ashour Peera, East Ridge – Peera finally claimed his first win as East Ridge’s head coach, but also snapped a 13-game losing streak dating back to 2013.
HEARTLAND: Tommy Lewis, Victory Christian – Despite the 13-6 to Pasco, Lewis was able to keep his team competitive against a Class 6A opponent.
NORTH SUNCOAST: Ryan Benjamin, River Ridge – Led his River Ridge Royal Knight team to a thrilling 10-7 victory over rival Mitchell to open the season.
TAMPA BAY: Andres Perez-Reinaldo, Steinbrenner – Helped lead Steinbenner to its first-ever victory over Gaither in school history in which the Warriors won 13-0.
SOUTHWEST: John Peacock, Venice – Led the Indians to a big road victory over Stephenville, Texas to open up the 2015 season on a high note.
EAST COAST: Ron Parker, Centennial – Led the underdog Centennial Eagles to a surprising 21-7 win against Melbourne to open up the 2015 season.
PALM BEACHES: Keith Hindsley, American Heritage (Delray) – Led the Stallions to a 20-14 road victory over a very tough Class 6A Naples program to open the season.
BROWARD: Jason Milgrom, Chaminade-Madonna – Led Chaminade-Madonna to a big win over a bigger Belen Jesuit program to open up the 2015 season.
MIAMI-DADE & KEYS: Juan Torres, Braddock – Torres claimed his first win as head coach and first win of the season for Braddock to open up the 2015 season. Braddock defeated, North Miami Beach by a score of 27 to 16.
