As the playoffs get ready to start this week, here is Publisher Joshua Wilson’s projected bracket for Class 6A.
This was the most interesting bracket to project because I had laid down the projections prior to Week 11 being completed and once I looked at few things I had a few things to make changes on. I think Navarre is likely to emerge as state semifinalist this year for the first time since 2012. However, Lake Gibson is very interesting because after they game the put down on Vanguard, I am not certain Vanguard can get to Orlando given the fact Lake Gibson has a very strong defense that I think could even shut Armwood down and make Class 6A North very, very nervous. Looking South keep an eye on Naples, Miami Northwestern, and Mainland as they could all be very well playing for a state championship next month. However, in the end, I think this could finally be Mainland’s year with Miami Central out of the way and not even in the playoff picture.
