The Skinny
With defending district champion and 2016 state semifinalist failing to reach the district tournament this year, there will be a new champion. The most impressive team in this district is by far Pembroke Pines Charter which has shown they could be a team that is poised to make a run in the regional playoffs. However, keep an eye on Archbishop McCarthy and Boyd Anderson as they will be looking around for that upset win. Dillard, is seen as long shot to advance in the tournament, but they have shown they are here because of winning the games they needed to.
