CHIEFLAND, Fla. — Two-time winning State Championship head football coach John Palmer is making his return to the sidelines once again as he has been named the next head football coach of the Chiefland Indians, according to Indians’ play-by-play announcer Ken Hutson.
The announcement was just made moments ago on the Country Legends Radio Facebook Page, the radio station that carries Chiefland Indians football during the season.
Palmer who won state championships at Port St. Joe in two different stints has also had coaching stops across the state including his alma mater Brooksville Hernando and Bronson among others. He replaces Adam Gore who stepped down after two-seasons including leading the Indians to the first playoff appearance since 2004 this past season.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned to FloridaHSFootball.com for more information.
