While some teams have already claimed a district championship, more teams were added to the list last week of teams in Class 5A through Class 8A and locked up playoff spots for next month. A few more will join the ranks this week Here is a look at where things stand right now in Class 6A as we head into Week 9.
Records show are district standings only, not overall records.
DISTRICT 6A-1
Pine Forest, 3-0
Gulf Breeze, 2-1
Booker T. Washington (Pensacola), 2-1
Escambia, 1-2
Milton, 0-4
OUTLOOK: Things are very simple this week for Pine Forest who took care of business last week against Gulf Breeze – get a win over Booker T. Washington and the Eagles will be playoff-bound as district champions. However, if the Wildcats get the upset, coupled with an Escambia win over Gulf Breeze would give the district to the Wildcats, but a Gulf Breeze win would set up a three-way tie scenario to be broken by the RPI.
DISTRICT 6A-2
Mosley, 4-0 – CLINCHED
Lincoln, 2-1
Rickards, 1-2
Choctawhatchee, 1-2
Fort Walton Beach, 0-3

DISTRICT 6A-5
Vanguard, 2-0
Belleview, 2-1
Springstead, 1-1
Lecanto, 0-3
OUTLOOK: For Vanguard, the mission is simple this week and that is to defeat Springstead. However, if Springstead pulls off the upset, a three-way tie scenario for the district would be at play and the final RPI would break the tie.
DISTRICT 6A-6

Boca Ciega, 4-0
Pinellas Park, 3-1
Northeast (St. Petersburg), 3-1
Hollins, 1-3
Seminole (Seminole), 2-2
St. Petersburg, 0-4
OUTLOOK: Mission is pretty simple for Boca Ciega – take care of business against Pinellas Park and win the district championship and clinch a playoff berth. If Pinellas Park wins coupled with a Northeast win this week, a district tie-breaker scenario would be in play for the district and would not be determined until the final RPI rankings are released.
