While some teams have already claimed a district championship, more teams were added to the list last week of teams in Class 5A through Class 8A and locked up playoff spots for next month. A few more will join the ranks this week Here is a look at where things stand right now in Class 7A as we head into Week 9.
Records show are district standings only, not overall records.
DISTRICT 7A-1
Niceville, 3-0 – CLINCHED
Navarre, 2-1
Crestview, 2-1
Pace, 1-3
Tate, 0-3
OUTLOOK: Niceville handled business last week against Navarre, clinching the district championship and a playoff berth for the Eagles.
DISTRICT 7A-2
Buchholz, 2-0
Chiles, 1-1
Forest, 1-1
Leon, 0-2
OUTLOOK: All Buchholz has to do this week is simply beat Forest for the district championship. An upset by Forest would give the district to them or if a Chiles win over Leon could set up a three-way tie scenario to be broken by the RPI rankings.
DISTRICT 7A-3
Fletcher, 4-0 – CLINCHED
Nease, 3-1
Fleming Island, 3-1
Atlantic Coast, 1-3
Ponte Vedra, 1-3

DISTRICT 7A-9
Gaither, 3-1
Mitchell, 2-1
Largo, 2-1
Sickles, 1-2
Leto, 0-3
OUTLOOK: Some interesting things lurk this week in the district. First, Mitchell needs a win over to Sickles to stay in the hunt for the district championship. However, if Mitchell falls and Largo wins over Leto, Gaither will win the district championship. Now if Largo were to be upset by Leto, and Mitchell wins, Mitchell would win the district. Now if both Michell and Largo lose this week, Gaither would also win the district in that scenario. For Largo, they have to win to keep their hope for a district championship with a three-way tie and having the RPI break the tie.
DISTRICT 7A-10
Tampa Bay Tech, 3-0 – CLINCHED
Wharton, 2-1
Armwood, 2-1

DISTRICT 7A-12
Lehigh, 3-0 – CLINCHED
