Season Outlook: Lakewood has been one of the best teams in the Tampa Bay area and the best team in amongst the Pinellas County public schools in the last few years and they have some considerable talent that will help them be a contender for state amongst the Class 2M teams. Colandrea will once again line up under center to lead the Spartans and should have a successful senior year ahead. However, the two biggest losses the Spartans have are from Amari Niblack and Terrell Crosby who did everything last year for the Spartans so having new guys step up and lead in those spots. Overall, the goal now is for the Spartans to reach the state semifinals again with the goal of reaching the state championship in 2022.
