JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars Girls Flag Football Preseason Classic schedule is set with over 60 teams from across the state participating in the three day event at the Miller Electric Center, the training facility home of the Jaguars as girls flag football teams across the Sunshine State are just over a week away from the start of the 2025 Girls Flag Football season set take place next Thursday through Saturday as teams prepare for the 2025 season.
The 2025 Jaguars Girls Flag Football Preseason Classic will mark the first time that the event has been held at the new training facility as EverBank Stadium and the nearby flex field at Daily’s Place are starting to get prepared for the first signs of the massive $1.4 billion renovation that will take place over the next three-plus years.
The stadium renovations along with the expansion of the Jaguars Girls Flag Football Preseason Classic setup the perfect opportunity to allow the event to move to the new training facility which opened just over a year and half ago in July 2023.
Here is a look at the full and complete schedule for the three-day event as well as a look at five matchups that we look forward to seeing in Jacksonville along with returning Jaguars ALL-PREP athletes from the 2024 season to watch.

FIVE MATCHUPS WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE
Fleming Island vs. Spruce Creek – This Day 2 matchup will pit two teams who last saw each other going back to the 2023 season in the Class 2A regional finals. While both team’s rosters will look very different, especially Fleming Island’s with now having graduated the past two Jaguars ALL-PREP Player of the Year award winners in Maykala Maddox and London Jenkins over the past two seasons. We will see if Fleming Island is indeed taking a step back in 2025 as some feel or if its going to be more a of reload for the Golden Eagles. For Spruce Creek, they were knocked out in first round last season by New Smyrna Beach, so we will see if the likes of quarterback Anastasia Neal has improved since the offseason.
Paxon vs. Clay – There is a lot to love about this matchup between two teams that have been part of the most recognizable programs in the Jacksonville-area in girls flag football. Clay reached the state quarterfinals in Class 1A this past year thanks to the efforts behind athletes like Shelby McClain and Teaghan Moses, both 2024 Jaguars ALL-PREP Top 25 honorees. While McClain has graduated, Moses is back for her junior year campaign, so we should be able to see the improvements made during the offseason. For Paxon they will have to fill the shoes of the talented quarterback Ansley Hicks who graduated but will return another 2024 Jaguars ALL-PREP Top 25 honoree in Reese Holman at the defensive back and wide receiver. This game should show us just how far both teams could go in 2025.
Chiles vs. Sandalwood – Another Day 2 matchup featuring two teams that have been typical perennial postseason contenders. While Chiles was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs last season by a surging Fletcher team and Sandalwood missing despite an eight win season, this game should give us clue on what to expect from both teams. Quarterback Ashley Purdy, a three-time Jaguars Girls Flag Football ALL-PREP honoree, will be back in action for her senior year and we should see what she is going do to top a 3,000 yard passing season from 2024. For Chiles, we will see how quarterback Charloette Reynolds improves as a junior and this game will give us those insights.
Mainland vs. Middleburg – A little North Florida vs. Central Florida in this matchup, both teams are looking to see where the can improve upon from the 2024 season. Mainland was shocked in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs last season by an upstart Wildwood team while Middleburg, which made the playoffs after missing the playoffs in 2023, reached the regional semifinals after getting back some revenge on Bradford who had won the district title. We expect to see Brielle Jackson for Mainland back after a nearly 2,000 yard season in 2024 and we should see here improve upon this numbers. Middleburg, who loses two Jaguars ALL-PREP Top 25 honorees from 2024 in Brooke Cooper and Cheynne Jenkins will have to look for new leaders to step up if the Broncos will want to reach the playoffs for the fourth time in the last five years in 2025. We will see who emerges in this matchup here on Day 3.
Choctawhatchee vs. Crescent City – While there is a chance that this could look a little lopsided, this game also has a lot of upside potential, especially for Crescent City going up a well-seasoned program in Choctaw that has three state runner-up finishes under their belt. The Indians, who were stunned by Pembroke Pines Charter in the state semifinals last year. Diaris Morales returns for her junior season after a sophomore season with over 2,500 yards passing and 29 TDs and we will hopefully see the improvements she has made in the offseason in this game. Crescent City returns their first-ever Jaguars ALL-PREP Top 25 honoree in Paola Cruz, who was also named the AFC South NFL Latino Youth Honors Finalist, one of eight selected as a finalist for the NFL Latino Youth Honors. Expect Cruz to be a force, but also get to be battle tested by one of the top teams in the state to kickoff the 2025 season.
