Here is a look at how Florida Top 25 and other notable teams did this past week in Girls Flag Football action in Tampa Bay with our latest Flag Football Final for Week 4 of the season from March 10-15, 2025.
FLORIDA TOP 25
No. 1 Robinson
Despite school being in session this past week, the Knights had some much-needed rest and will have more rest this coming week with spring break. The Knights return to action on March 25 against Newsome.
No. 2 Lennard
Lennard 26, Plant 0 (Monday); Lennard 19, Spanish River 18 (Saturday); Western 25, Lennard 7 (Saturday)
It was 2-1 week for the Longhorns who made the trip to South Florida at the end of the week, picking up a victory over Florida Top 25 No. 12 Spanish River before falling to Western in the second of two games Saturday. The loss might shake up the rankings, with Lennard dropping the game to Western, but the Longhorns are going into spring break with a 10-2 record. They will face Robinson (for the second time this season), Strawberry Crest, and Bloomingdale to close out the regular season after spring break. In the game against Plant, Sydney Elizondo went 26-of-43, passing for 216 yards and four touchdowns, with Miranda Diaz on the receiving end of two of those touchdowns. On defense, the Longhorns recorded three interceptions to help keep Plant away from the end zone.
No. 3 Alonso
Alonso 46, Gaither 0 (Wednesday)
In their lone game for the Week, the Ravens easily dispatched Gaither as Gabby Werr threw 181 yards and four touchdowns while Raya Deane had three passing touchdowns of her own. Shea Plantz led the receiving corps with 90 yards receiving on five receptions and a touchdown, while Ella Adent recorded two interceptions and four flag pulls on defense. The Ravens go into spring break with an 8-1 overall record, with six games left on the schedule in the remaining two and half weeks of the regular season following spring break.
No. 14 Steinbrenner
The Warriors were off this week and will be off next week as well for spring break, as they are already through 10 of 15 games on the schedule with five games left, including a date with Land O’ Lakes in the first game back after spring break on March 26.
No. 21 Land O’ Lakes
Land O’ Lakes 42, River Ridge 0 (Monday); Land O’ Lakes 46, Wiregrass Ranch 0 (Wednesday)
The undefeated Gators added two more wins to their totals to go into spring break with an 8-0 overall record. Quarterback Sophia Spiegel had another huge week, throwing for 466 yards and 11 touchdowns combined between the two victories, while Kaylynne Mace recorded five receiving touchdowns, and Maxdyn Luedy recorded four receiving touchdowns to lead the receiving corps for the Gators. Defensively, the Gators recorded eight sacks and three interceptions in the shutouts over River Ridge and Wiregrass Ranch.
No. 23 Bloomingdale
Bloomingdale 31, Plant City 6 (Monday); Bloomingdale 21, Forest Hill 0 (Friday); Seminole Ridge 14, Bloomingdale 0 (Saturday); Western 32, Bloomingdale 6 (Saturday)
It was a mixed bag of a week with the Bulls recording wins over Plant City and in South Florida against Forest Hill but struggled against Florida Top 25 team Seminole Ridge and as well as against Western. In the game against Plant City, Lexi Serniotti went 14-of-28, passing for 161 yards and three touchdowns, while Danica Darby led the receivers with 54 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Defensively against Plant City, the Bulls recorded three interceptions, while Aydan Walker led the defense with six flag pulls.
OTHER NOTABLE TEAMS
2A No. 7 St. Petersburg
Osceola (Seminole) 14, St. Petersburg 6 (Thursday)
It was not the redemption week the Green Devils were looking for after coming off a tough weekend at the She Is Football Tournament, dropping a touchdown decision against Osceola to fall to 6-3 on the season heading into spring break.
1A No. 6 Tampa Catholic
Tampa Catholic 19, Sumner 12 (Wednesday)
In their lone game this week before being closed for break, the Crusaders moved to 7-2 on the season with quarterback Ava Kopp going 16-of-23 passing for 111 yards and two touchdowns while adding 48 yards rushing to defeat the Stingrays. Izzy Rein was on the receiving end on both of Kopp’s touchdown throws, while Karis Louisaint scored on an interception return for a touchdown from 15 yards out.
East Bay
East Bay 39, Durant 0 (Tuesday); East Bay 33, Lakewood 6 (Thursday)
The Indians picked up two more victories in the season to move to 8-3 before heading into spring break. In the game against Durant, Victoria Whitfield threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns while accounting for an additional rushing touchdown with Jazalyn Baluja on the receiving end of two touchdowns. Aubrey Barak led all receivers with 87 yards on eight receptions while recording her own touchdown. Chanelle Garcia led the Indians on defense with two interceptions, while Klowey Jordan led in flag pulls with three.
Keswick Christian
Keswick Christian 22, Bayshore Christian 0 (Monday); Keswick Christian 36, Clearwater Central Catholic 0 (Tuesday)
The Crusaders dominated both matchups this week, shutting out Bayshore Christian and Clearwater Central Catholic with strong performances on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Robyn Cantwell led the way, going 12-of-28 for 187 yards and two touchdowns in the first game, followed by a sharp 23-of-33 for 205 yards and three touchdowns in the second. Kenyan Heuertz hauled in three receptions for 69 yards and two scores against Bayshore Christian, while Selah Graham stepped up versus Clearwater Central Catholic with seven catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Cantwell also contributed on the ground, rushing for 70 yards in the first game and adding two rushing touchdowns in the second. On defense, Zoe Cobourne recorded four interceptions across both matchups, and Izzie Joy led with a combined 12 flag pulls. Claire Rogers and Addy Sabiel each added a touchdown to cap off the dominant week for Keswick Christian.
Newsome
Newsome 47, Gaither 13 (Thursday)
The Wolves powered past the Cowboys with a dominant offensive showing, improving to 7-3 on the season. Quarterback Sadie Avery led the way, completing 17-of-26 passes for 219 yards and five touchdowns, while Emma Cleary added a perfect 3-of-3 passing for 26 yards and a score. Katelyn Wagner was unstoppable, hauling in seven receptions for 80 yards and three touchdowns. Zolene Ansah added three catches for 43 yards and two scores, while Julia Szucs contributed a 36-yard touchdown grab. On the ground, Avery rushed for 63 yards, including a 35-yard breakaway run, and Cleary added a rushing touchdown. Defensively, Chloe Clark and Kensley Hiscock each recorded an interception, while Lily Garcia led with four flag pulls as Newsome secured the 47-13 win.
