Sometimes reach back in time can be a good thing. For the Mulberry Panthers, that is what they hope will happen.
The Lakeland Ledger reported yesterday that Kenneth Grantham was hired to take over the position he once held from 2006 until 2008, replacing Dedrick Dodge who was the head coach for the past two seasons.
He told the Ledger he really enjoyed the time he had Mulberry and felt like it was a great place to coach at.
Grantham, who was previously the head coach at his alma mater Auburndale from 2009 until 2014, also served as an assistant coach at Warner University this past season under Rod Shafer, the former head coach at Lake Wales.
The report indicated that Grantham will be on the staff full time at Mulberry by the end of February and will teach social studies along with his coaching duties.
