Vero has either Benn somebody's first loss or their second loss...

Here is what their schedule look like so far and this aint boasting, this is about the points they can generate from this......

Venice 4-1 will be District champs

Ft Lauderdale 4-1 will probably beat everybody else on their schedule except STA

Pahokee 3-2 might beat everyone else on the schedule but I wanna see em beat Cocoa and Gardens

Centennial 5-1 should end up in the playoffs

Westwood 4-1 will most likely end up as district champs

Treasure Coast 5-1 will end up in the playoffs with a win over Cocoa but Cen10 stands in the way too

Sebastian 3-2 may end up with a winning record this year, playoff spot is in question tho

Cocoa will running clock Pahokee again this year.

    Cocoa,

Caziah Holmes played QB a lot last season and showed lots of talent. I'm sure he will be taking a lot of snaps as a duel threat QB in pass rush heavy games.

Ryan Thomas transferred in(?), I believe from Matanzas. From the grapevine I have heard very good things about him. Probably the starter, but not sure. I have not looked into his past seasons yet, but he is looking for a QB job and a scholarship.

Lakoto Wojciechowski, Soph is getting a lot of praise from the QB camps. Good passer and quick on the reads. Should develop into a top QB in the next few seasons.  I have high hopes for Lakoto for the future and I believe Coach Schneider will be a good coach for him. Probably will see him most when the game is a wrap.

Is Lakota still at Cocoa? Rumor was he transferred back to Astronaut?

caziah played corner all last year

heard that Cocoa also got QB from Vero and that he would be starter.

Hallandale has an Open date on the 14th. AHP has an Open date for Sept 28th... Cocoa, are you paying attention :>

    Go South...

Cocoa is going to Glades Central on Sept 28

I think they good with scheduling especially after not getting approved to host top 20 nationally ranked SFA early in the season. But I believe they have a good probability of going undefeated. 7 of those games will be anywhere from tough battles to running clocks tho.

Definitely could go undefeated with that schedule.  Went 9-1 with double OT loss to Rock last year and schedule was tougher.

Maxpreps seems to think Cocoa has lost:

    Treasure Coast

    Jensen Beach

Viera(The dead giveaway Maxpreps is wrong)

    Glades Central

Don’t the coaches control their team’s schedule on MaxPreps?

This season they are playing both Glades Central and Pahokee in The Muck.

Cocoa should keep win streak alive this year

university beat Glades last year and Cocoa Running clocked University in semifinals

and as we have said before running clocked Pahokee in regular season

Cocoa is 2/3 on this. Never been in the same classification as Pahokee to see them in the playoffs.

Do you know Cocoa record vs. Muck

They have beaten Glades Central at least 3 tines

Beat Clewiston 4-5 times in playoffs

    Running clocked Pahokee last year

Have they ever played besides these games???

Cocoa has beaten all 3 but has only played Glades Central and Clewiston in the playoffs. Beat Pahokee in the regular season. Glades in back to back state games. They will be playing both Glades Central and Pahokee in the regular season both in The Muck

I believe Cocoa is undefeated against Muck teams...playoffs and regular season combined

Yea it would've been a good make up home game. But according to the national board Cocoa dropped it

    Keen

Are any of Wilks old coaches still at Cocoa?  I heard the DC/LB and OL coaches went with him to New Smyrna, DB coach went to Viera, RB coach to Palm Bay

did new coach bring in a whole new staff?

Oxbridge Academy- Looked pretty good against Royal Palm we have to wait to after the summer transfer season but if they get 1 or 2 guys up front and a couple on the outside and in the secondary to go along with the returning talent I will predict Oxbridge and C.M part 2

Pahokee- All roads lead to Orlando for Pahokee if they can avoid a mental let down in the playoffs Pahokee has the chance to go 15-0 and another state title this year

Dwyer- They have the potential to be the  best team in Palm Beach County this year and one of the top in 7a, the question will be at QB if they can find one there I can see a 3rd round matchup with STA with the edge going to STA.

Palm Beach Central- Probably has the most talent on one team in Palm Beach County this year, this is also a team that has the potential to be the best in Palm Beach County this year we are actually blessed this year in West Palm because Dwyer and Atlantic both play Central to start as well as Dwyer and Atlantic both play each other and Oxbridge also has Atlantic so we shall be able to tell early the top 5. But I expect Central to be right up there in 8a this year

Atlantic- Just find a way to reload they tied with a very good MNW team but they had plenty opportunities but they didnt cash in but it is also spring. Atlantic has the size and speed also the experience to be right back in Orlando I wouldn't be surprised

American Heritage- They have a good group that can challenge C.M this year I will give the edge to C.M but that's right now but just like Oxbridge I will have to wait to the end of the Summer transfer season before I make a prediction on Heritage but they returned a lot and they actually lost a lot to transfers but if they can replace them they have a chance for a good year

Glades Central- Athletes can match anyone in their classification but I think they will run into trouble up front not stopping the run and also not establishing some type of run game which those two are very important when talking playoff time but they will have a decent year but not to the standard of the fans in the glades

Seminole Ridge- Had a very good year last season making the playoffs I don't see much drop off there or any change as well I see a first round ceiling on seminole ridge but will be a top 10 team in Palm Beach this year but more at the bottom of the 10

Park Vista- The best coaching staff in our County find a way to win with little every season also the most discipline team and very good on defense because of that they will hang around the top 10 and may sneak in the playoffs similar to last season and this one team and coaching staff you don't want to face they have the potential to upset any opponent but they have a second round ceiling

Boca- Has arguably the best Qb in our in Palm Beach County if he stay there with the summer transfer season coming very soon they have some nice tools around him they can be a team that will be very similar to seminole ridge I don't expect them to make the playoffs because of their district but I wouldn't be surprised if a game or two that QB can heat up and make things interesting

Better worry about not getting running clocked again before going undefeated

Yea I see that for sure. They are definitely on a whole nother level than they were we they were originally scheduled to play them. You think St Frances  will be coming down for the game and will it be in the beginning of the season?

I think Cocoa will hang with them. They have a lot back on offense and defense. They also have gotten some transfers.

Not taking anything away from Cocoa or Pahokee or any other teams with big "modern-era" playoff runs, but comparing playoff runs of today versus 30 years ago is apples to oranges...at least in classes like modern-day 3A and 4A.  I've made previous posts concerning average point differentials in playoff games today versus the past...big differences.  Look at playoff scores this past year in 3A and 4A....ridiculous margins.  It is not the fault of Cocoa, Raines, Chaminade and Oxbridge, per se.

Changes in classes have made it so much easier for certain teams to make deep runs.  For example, the creation of Class 2B in the early 2000's paved the way for Pahokee to do their thing.  When they were competing in 2A and 3A with teams like Bolles, Chaminade, and Clewiston...no way they pull off what they did.

It's sad.  The meeting of Chaminade and Oxbridge this past season in 3A was a given.  Years ago, in most cases, nobody would have been willing to bet their house on who would be in the finals in a certain class.  There was an element of surprise that has diminished today.

Do not think you were taking anything away from Cocoa.  Was just wondering what the record was?
