Bloomingdale is from Valrico and they have a good runningback that likes to work the sideline. They aren’t a very pass heavy team.

Venice wins the game, 28-21, in a nail biter that came down to the last seconds. Here are some key takeaways from the game: 1. This is the 6th straight time Venice has beaten Braden River and the third straight year they have knocked them out of the playoffs. 2. Brian Battie, Braden River’s runningback, was limited to 57 yards on 25 carries. He had over 2,000 yards overall on the season. 3. I think Venice will upset STA on the road this year, here’s some reasons why... 1. Venice’s defense is fantastic this year, Vero Beach, Braden River, and Tampa Tech have been the only teams so far that have been able to score over 20 points on them. 2. The offense is very balanced and Venice has many different possibilities for running and passing with a great running back, dangerous wide receivers and a hot quarterback. 3. The o-line has allowed only 4 sacks on the quarterback this year, and has provided great protection for Wolfe. 4. We almost went undefeated in the regular season playing talented teams such as Vero Beach, Manatee, Palmetto, Plant, Champagnat, and Braden River. In my opinion, Venice has gotten much better after the 2016 loss and they grew up from it. I think that Venice will be better prepared for what they have to do this time to beat STA and win states again.

The regular season doesn’t matter as long as you’re ready for the playoffs. Just remember that back in March you said that Venice would return to being a 9 win team and a second round loser in 2018. Well you were wrong!

What makes you assume that? Is it that it happened In 2016, or that STA has a history of doing that to public schools? Venice is just as good this year as they were in 2016 and 2017.

Not gonna happen I’m telling you. Venice is more ready for what they have to do this year to upset STA and win states again.

He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Lakeland wouldn’t get steamrolled by STA this year at all, nor would Venice. In fact, I’m betting that STA won’t win states this year. They still have to beat either Venice, Lakeland or Plant, and none of thee games will be easy for them.

Think about it this way. Treasure Coast and Osceola both got knocked out in round 1, the two teams you were worried about.
