St Peter's prep out of NJ the 2nd game of the season. They're a year in year out powerhouse in NJ their ranked #2 in NJ currently. Their pretty much the st thomas of their area. They fly down the week of the 29th and we will play them Saturday night at Dillard.

We have the #2 c/o 2028 qb in lamech, he's 6'2 alot of offers so far. This off season he has bulked up alot, while also improving his speed & pocket awareness. He has one of the best deep balls I've ever seen and most of em can come off his back foot before he is even fully set. I expect monster numbers from him this upcoming season.

Players, coaching, discipline, conditioning, nutrition. If youre lacking in one or more then you already are at a disadvantage and not a complete football team. And the right team like a st thomas will exploit that quickly. Dillard is making the necessary changes and bringing in the right personal to do great things. But none of that guarantees anything. Looking the part, the stars next to the new transfers we got means anything. Dillard is gonna have to get on the field and take what they want. When that st thomas game rolls around the raiders will be the favorite to win. As they should be. If dillard want that respect and recognition they have to go earn it and take it. Sounds good, but against st thomas and st peters prep its gonna be easier said and done. So over here at dillard were gonna control what we can control and come sep 10th lets kick that shii off.

Having st thomas and st peters prep out of NJ on the schedule will most definitely prepare dillard for the playoffs. But what i will say about last year, is that in my personal opinion the lack of tough schedule is not why we lost. Dillard just pick the wrong game to have a bad game. And even then we lost by 6. When youre playing against a heated rival in the playoffs where 14 of your players went to said rival school in the off season. Records go out the window. In that game vs plantation dillard was in plantation 15 yard line or less 7 times. 4 of those was a turnover on downs instead of taking the points (that was coaching) then one of the possessions late in the 3rd up 14-13 at the 8 yard line on 4th down the qb panicked forced a throw and threw a pick 6. Plantation ended up winning 20-14. In the playoffs its a game of inches. And we didnt take advantage of that. It hurted like a mf and I mean bad. But I believe losing way we did prompted the amount of changes that took place so far this off season. Especially within the coaching staff.

And to answer ya question the last time dillard hoisted a trophy was in 2020 during the covid year.

I respect yo take on this bro. I'll say this, one thing bout dillard playing st thomas Aquinas is nothing new. Hell in the 80s and 90s st thomas had to go thru dillard to get where they want to go. Fast forward to the 2000s dillard has played a couple of close games against the raiders while they were top 10 in the nation. Along with playing the likes of chaminade & Miami Central while nationally ranked. As a program the mystic of a team or as you said their resume cant put fear in yo heart or have you doubting what you have on the other side. If it does you already lost the game before you take the field. St thomas is who they're which is why the get the respect they rightfully deserve. But on sep 10th at dillard under them lights. The st thomas mystic, their 7 consecutive championships, none of that is gonna matter. What's gonna matter is the team thats better prepared, make the most plays & makes the least amount of mistakes, thats whose gonna win that matchup. Again right now on paper and at their practices dillard is huge, look the part and have talent all over the field. How will all of that come together cine August & will it translate to the field ? That's what we will have to wait and see. But win lose or draw ima always be 10 toes down wit dem panthers. The regular season is just the battle. In the postseason is where is counts & playing to national powerhouses at home in st thomas and st peters prep out of new Jersey is most definitely gonna prepare dillard for the post season.

I agree. Especially in south florida you have to have the Jimmy's and Joe's and xs & os, 1 with out the other and youre not gonna do much of anything. It's also to note in broward we dont just have really good schools to go through that another really good school can compete with. We have national powerhouses aka the st thomas, American heritage, chaminade madonna those aren't your avg teams to beat them you have to have a national team as well with dam good coaching. Because if not you may can compete for a quarter or two if you have a solid program, but thats about it.

Love to here it. We wouldn't want them at nothing but their best. Two very good teams on paper going at it on the panthers home turf. I wouldnt have it any other way.

In south fl case particularly broward the world is a much better place when the publics are on top. Plus as a inner city kid its good to know you can go to a school in lets say the hood and can still accomplish being apart of a winning program and dare I say when a championship

LETS GOOOOOOO!!! between dillard revamping their coaching staff, bringing in Defensive Guru & auburn Harding hitting safety in junior rose green who was at the helm when his miami norland vikings beat miami central twice in one season to make it to the state championship game. Dillard has also brought two offensive gurus with 7 state championships between them. Starting with Coach Quay former carol city high school OC who won 4 state titles with the chiefs, and now will be dillards OC. Dillard has also brought in Former Cardinal gibbons OC patrick deckle to be the CO offensive corddidnator & the director of operations, coach deckle also has 3 state championship rings as cardinal gibbons OC. So far dillard has been one of the hottest destinations this off season for the transfer portal. Since the off season has started Dillard has received a plethora of high quality transfers. Including 2 4* receivers. One is 6'3 the other is 6'4, dillard also have a Revamped Offensive line & Defensive line avg at 6'2 just over 200 pounds. A picture of dillards defense just went viral a few days ago, alot of people compared they look like a dillard University lol. NOW this matchup. If everything on paper alligns on the Field, This is Gonna Be a BARN BURNER!!, the Great thing is, its Gonna Be At Home & our SOS this upcoming season is gonna be insane in regards to playoff seeding. Especially with St peters prep (NJ) flying down to play Dillard Aug 29th. So Many people last year stated dillard had a Juco schedule, a Jv Schedule, there for nobody respected the Undefeated regular season record, and they were quickly justified when we were 1 in done in the playoffs. This upcoming season it appears Dillard is coming with a vengeance.!! LETS GO DILLARD!!!

I thought TC had this unstoppable offense that was impossible to stop. I forgot what type of offense it was. Which was during their era they were playing nothing but big powerful schools

When I think of top 5 , top 10 i think of consistency. Dillard is consistent playoff team year in and year out, making it further some years then others. And thats without a mass of transfers like a miami central,northwestern, west boca, or last year mcarthur and west broward. right now In broward my rankings would be #1 ST THOMAS #2. AMERICAN HERITAGE #3. CHAMINADE #4. ARCHBISHOP MCCARTHY #5. DILLARD #6. MONARCH west broward and mcarthur both lost over 20 transfers and coaches within the last 2 months. Players are transferring out left and right so its yet to be seen if they can even be .500 next season. Outside of that Who else ? Plantation aka the "Young gate jumpers" as they were called down here had a team full of transfers last year due to their assistant coach darel Strong who has strong ties in the optimist circle. Well since plantation beat dillard in round 1 last season, not only did they lose that assistant coach to cypress bay, they also lost his brother who the colonels head coach, he left and followed his brother to cypress bay and hes now the head coach of the cypress Bay lightning. On top of all that in the last 4 weeks plantation has self imploded losing 8 players to carol city, 4 to Columbus & 15 to players to cypress bay to follow their coaches. So again Who else is it ? That without a doubt can be placed above or before dillard in broward outside of the Top 4 private schools ??

Most definitely dillard not only was dillard top 5 in points per game and top 5 in opponents points per game in the state, dillard also over the last 3 years have a record of (27-8) a playoff berth in every season this decade, multiple 2nd round or further playoff appearancs. In two appearances in the broward vs usa classic dillard is (2-0) "Both games" we were the underdogs. Especially against dr phillips last year who was just in the state semi finals the year prior. And made it to the regional finals last year. Dillard was also ranked top 5 in broward every all of last year. By sunsentinal, Larry bluestin & they were also Top 10 in the miami Herald all of last year. No our schedule wasnt the toughest and yes we lost a close playoff game to a heated rival in round 1 last year, but do that mean dillard isn't Top 7 in broward absolutely NOT. ESPECIALLY compared to fly by night programs who are faithfully doormats in florida football in west broward and mcarthur. Two teams who got a wave of transfers last year to help a team who barely won 4 games the year before. Hell in mcarthur case they were (1-9) in 2024 b4 the transfers came in & like clockwork they all transfered right back out this season.

Best of 7 without dillard in there is insane, also as stated in another thread mcarthur, west broward both has had mass exodus from their programs players wise and more then likely will struggle to win 5 games next year.

The broward showcase is over it , this is just an added aspect to what was already created which is the broward vs usa. But this is the south florida rilvarly addition to it. Same co-founders and everything tho. That's why its still under the broward showcase name.

Do you know what date and location is the Dillard game because thats what I've been waiting to see. Last I spoke with dillard they said they were waiting on vero to confirm the date but that was about a month ago
