FloridaHSFootball.com, The Source For Florida High School Football has proudly released its 2012 Pre-Season Classification Rankings.
The voting which includes a panel of statewide media members and FloridaHSFootball.com staff, picked who they thought should be ranked to start off the season and there were some obvious choices to start the season with.
For Classes 8A and 2A the votes for first place when unanimously to defending state champions Tampa Plant and Tallahassee North Florida Christian respectively. Bradenton Manatee in Class 7A, Miami Booker T. Washington in Class 4A and Monticello Jefferson County in Class 1A took all but one first place vote to take the top, while Classes 6A 5A and 3A there was a little bit more division who to start number one. For Class 6A Miami Central took top honors, while Immokalee took the honors in Class 5A and a fierce battle to be expected again in Class 3A with defending champion Delray Beach American Heritage took the honors of first place.
While voting was expected to be wide open, most of the expected traditional teams are back ranked again and ready to make another playoff run while a few others have risen up the ranks or have been taken notice of during the off season.
