Recruiting Notebook: January 31, 2013

Well, here it goes! The next installment of the Recruiting Notebook is finally upon us. Here’s all the information that you have been looking for on your favorite college’s recruiting class involving Florida high school football players, along with some information on your classmate!

THE VERBAL COMMITMENTS

• 2013 Pinellas Park Offensive Lineman Eric Hampson has committed to Old Dominion per Bob Putnam of Tampa Bay Home Team.

THE VISITS BY COLLEGES & RECRUITS:

• Florida Atlantic dropped in on Port St. Lucie Quarterback D.J. Juste this morning reports Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post.

• Syracuse is having an in-home visit with Dwyer Defensive End Malik Brown today according to Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post.

• Also per Matt Porter, four FAU coaches, including head coach Carl Pelini, dropped by Delray Atlantic today. Defensive Tackle Keith Bryant and Defensive End Todney Evans will visit the Owls this weekend.

• Vero Beach Defensive End Josh Ealy to visit Ohio University this weekend, per Wells Dusenbury of ESPN 760.

• Ryan Bass of Bright House Network is reporting that Carollwood Day Running Back Robert Davis is taking an official visit to Boston College this weekend.

• According to Jeff Greer of the Palm Beach Post, Palm Beach Gardens’ Baguidy Elien is taking an official visit to Union College in New York this weekend.

• Per his father, Cincinnati had an in-school visit with Tampa Catholic Offensive Lineman Corey Martinez.

• Per his twitter account, 2014 Durant Offensive Lineman Cody Martin had a chat with Florida International today.

THE OFFERS:

• Devin Abraham, a 2014 East Lake Defensive Back, reported on his twitter that he has picked up his sixth offer from Ohio University.

• Ohio University also offered a pair of other 2014 recruits. According to the team’s twitter, Countryside Defensive Back Mike Johnson and Offensive Lineman Giovani Negron both were offered by the Bobcats.

• Big County Preps reports that Armwood’s Darryl Richardson was offered as a tight end by San Diego State.

• 2015 East Lake athlete George Campbell has picked up an offer from Arkansas, per his twitter account.

• Two Plant City seniors were offered recently according to Big County Prep. Wide Receiver Joe Davis was offered by Webber International while Offensive Lineman Seth Crowell was offered by Florida Tech.
