[/one_third] [two_third_last] Post-Season Evaluation
Going back to our preseason projections, we were pretty spot on when it came to projecting the district champion, the Cardinal Mooney Cougars. The Cougars came into the season as the most experienced team in the district and worked out overall in their favor in both district games. Cardinal Mooney shutout Out-of-Door and had a huge margin against Bishop Verot for the district title. However, where we went wrong was with who would finish as the runner-up and who would be left behind. Knowing that Bishop Verot was coming off two losing seasons in a Class 6A district, we thought the adjustment to Class 3A would need some time. However, the Vikings set foot to prove they were worth the second playoff spot and did so when they upended Out-of-Door to help keep the Thunder from having a chance of making the playoffs. Speaking of Out-of-Door, the Thunder did not score a single point in either district game, something that shows just how much of challenging year they were having.
