Why: Sometimes the statement of saying “to be the best you have to play the best,” quite literally will happen – and this case it will. Miami Carol City is coming off a solid 2015 season where they defeated Miami Central for the district championship, however, a rematch in the playoffs left the Chiefs with a bad taste in their mouth. However, with some solid athletes back, head coach Aubrey Hill is willing to let his Chiefs take a chance against IMG Academy. IMG Academy which comes into this game ranked No. 4 by USA TODAY and MaxPreps, while checking at No. 2 by High School Football America, brings in another round of talent to compete against some of the nation’s top teams. The schedule which only includes four home games, including the kickoff classic, will have the Ascenders earning a ton of frequent flier miles for the season. In the end though if Carol City can stay close or squeak out a win, that will help them tremendously going into the season opener next week.
