GAINESVILLE, Fla. – We want to recognize the following teams and their helmets that lasted through the five rounds of voting by the fans, in the first-ever FloridaHSFootball.com Helmet Challenge. Each team’s helmet will be displayed in the near future on the main page of the Florida HS Helmet Project as Champions of the 2016 Helmet Challenge for their respective classifications.
All champions will be automatically entered into their respective classification’s brackets in 2017 depending on where teams are placed dependent upon if the FHSAA changes playoff formats for football. All second and third-place finishers this year will also receive a spot on the brackets in 2017.
