DEMATHA CATHOLIC, MD. AT NO. 2 ST. THOMAS AQUINAS

When: Saturday, August 25, 7:00 p.m.

Where: Brian Piccolo Stadium, Fort Lauderdale

TV: ESPN2

DeMatha Catholic Outlook: The Stags are no stranger to playing Florida powerhouse teams and has been consistently ranked nationally year-in and year-out and are currently ranked No. 51 overall in the High School Football America rankings. They return two of Maryland’s best defensive back in the 2019 class in Nick Cross and DeMarcoo Hellams who are expected to be big forces. However, DeMatha is going up against a team that is seeking revenge on anyone and everyone for not making it to the state championship game last year and it could be a tough one given St. Thomas Aquinas’ immense roster of Division I talent.

St. Thomas Aquinas Outlook: The Raiders are seeking revenge this year on the schedule to get back to Orlando and it starts here with DeMatha Catholic on a nationally televised game on ESPN2. The Raiders are stocked on Division I talent at almost every single position and come in ranked No. 17 on the High School Football America rankings. Key players to watch out for include running back Daniel Carter at linebacker, and Anthony Solomon who is a University of Miami (FL) commit. With the team fast and athletic, this game should not be that much of a challenge for the Raiders.
