Each week during the season we update the Top 25 rankings in Class 1A providing our Top 10 teams as well as provide The Next 15 teams that we have ranked to complete the Top 25 rankings. Information used to determine the rankings include record, quality wins, defeating ranked opponents and strength of schedule (after Week 1). It is important that teams update their information with scores with us on a regular basis each week by emailing us score reports at flag@floridahsfootball.com, sending us a direct message on Twitter @FlaHSFootball or updating scores in the ScoreStream app. Lack of information (scores) reported by the teams will only hurt their chances of being ranked, especially if they are having a solid season.

THE TOP 10
1. Robinson (Tampa)
Record: 9-0
Last Week: 1
NOTE: The wins keeping on rolling for the Knights easily taking down Blake early last week before being tested by Class 2A No. 1 Riverview in a 20-19 win and then getting tested but defeating previous No. 20 Tarpon Springs, previous No. 18 Niceville and previous 2A No. 6 Alonso (for the second time this season) to sweep the Capital City Classic Gold Bracket to cap off a solid Week 5. The Knights have one final district game this week against Tampa Catholic to lock up the No. 1 overall seed in District 1A-7.
2. Godby (Tallahassee)
Record: 8-1
Last Week: 2
NOTE: It was all about the Capital City Classic last week for Godby who dropped their first game against Niceville before picking up a 5OT win over Tarpon Springs and a win against Newsome to finish 2-1 in the Gold Bracket. The Cougars were without their starting quarterback for the first two games for undisclosed reasons and feel that could have been a big difference in the game against Niceville and as such won’t be moving them out of the No. 2 spot for now.
3. Clay (Green Cove Springs)
Record: 7-0
Last Week: 3
NOTE: The Blue Devils continue to shutout opponents this season this time with Baldwin and Middleburg being the latest victims of their success. They will have games against Florida Deaf and Orange Park this week to wrap up the district schedule and clinch the No. 1 overall seed in the District 1A-4 tournament.
4. Monsignor Pace (Miami)
Record: 6-0
Last Week: 5
NOTE: The Spartans move up one spot this week and are very close to clinching the No. 1 seed in the District 1A-14 tournament with a district game against Miami Carol City left to go that will be played on Wednesday. They took care of business last week against Hialeah Educational, shutting them out 48-0.
5. Miami Edison
Record: 5-0
Last Week: 4
NOTE: Edison defeated Forest Hill last week in a very close game, raising some eyebrows if the Red Raiders are starting to lose their mojo on what has gotten them to the state finals the past two seasons. The Red Raiders will have Miami Northwestern this week as well as a makeup district game to complete the district schedule.
6. Florida High (Tallahassee)
Record: 8-0
Last Week: 6
NOTE: The Seminoles are locked into the District 1A-2 tournament already and took care of business against FAMU DRS and shutting out previous Class 2A No. 19 Fleming Island on the road last week to remain undefeated on the season with Lincoln left on the district schedule before three more non-district games to wrap up the regular season next week.
7. Brandon
Record: 6-0
Last Week: 8
NOTE: The Eagles continue their undefeated ways picking up district wins over Spoto and Armwood to put them in the District 1A-6 tournament coming up in a couple of weeks. Brandon will play against Newsome on Thursday before taking part in the Bloomingdale Tournament over the weekend which will be three games total.
8. Glades Central (Belle Glade)
Record: 7-1
Last Week: 9
NOTE: The Raiders are back on track having picked up wins over Palm Beach Central and Lake Placid to get to seven wins on the season. A big test against No. Fort Pierce Westwood awaits for the Raiders along with a matchup against Pahokee to close out the district schedule this week to potentially clinch the No. 1 overall seed in District 1A-11.
9. Jensen Beach
Record: 6-1
Last Week: 10
NOTE: Jensen Beach moves up one despite picking up only a 7-0 victory over Pahokee last week to get to win No. 5 on the season, but did pick up a bigger win over Lake Placid earlier in the week to cap off the district schedule with no-worse than the No. 2 seed in hand all depending on the result of the Glades Central/Fort Pierce Westwood result later this week.
10. Harmony
Record: 7-1
Last Week: 11
NOTE: The Longhorns reenter the Top 10 this week after dominating Jones, which clinched the No. 1 overall seed in District 1A-10 while also cruising past Tohopekaliga. Harmony will have games against Vero Beach and Treasure Coast on the slate for this week.
