No. 23 Treasure Coast Titans (4-0) at Vero Beach Indians (3-0)
When: Friday
Where: Citrus Bowl at Billy Livings Field, Vero Beach
Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
Skinny: Treasure Coast is coming off a solid 57-28 win at John Carroll where once again the star of the game was quarterback Turk Watkins (2021) who had four rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown to help lead the Titans to the victory. Another key player to keep an eye on is Keegan Davis (2021) who had a long receiving touchdown and another rushing touchdown as well for the Titans. The biggest issue could be the pass defense, which Jon Santucci at TC Palm mentioned is a work in progress and could be an issue against Vero Beach’s passing game. Now for the host Indians, they are coming off a big win themselves last week, winning 40-3 at Martin County. In that game quarterback Jackson Nairn (2021) went 20-of-26 passing for 225 yards and a touchdown while running back Bobby McMillian (2021) had 140 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Defensively the Indians collected four sacks last week while Travonte O’Neal (2021), Equan Anderson (2021), and Jimmy McKinney (2021) all had seven tackles each.
