GAINESVILLE, FLA – Just a week after the FHSAA Board of Directors voted for a one-year reclassification cycle, the state finally has the answer it has been waiting for since the end of the 2020 football season – new districts, regions, and classifications for 2021.

As such, a lot of huge changes have taken place, part due to shifting enrollments in a lot of areas with population shifts, but also shifting enrollments thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic that has seen schools either lose or gain students throughout the school year, which lead to the one-year reclassification taking place.

Per FHSAA Policy 12.2, October 2020 Student Enrollment including non-traditional students from the 2019-2020 school year to determine where schools would be placed at.
