Season Outlook: Coming off their second straight Class 4A state championship and their third overall state championship in the last four years, the Chiefs know the expectations are high once again for another state championship run in 2022. However, with the new classification changes and being placed in Class 2M, the Chiefs know that it won’t be easy to make it a three-peat and four out of the last five years in winning state championships. With that said the optics for the team look very strong with 15 of 22 starters returning with seven starters returning on offense and eight starters back on defense while 40 players from last year’s team return overall for the roster. While Coach DuBuc expects a fair to a good season for his Chiefs, the expectation is that they should be able to win their new district which includes Plantation American Heritage and Fort Lauderdale Stranahan. With that said some of the key players back include running back Moulton and quarterback Rizk on the offensive side of the ball while players like Otten and Drisdom will be the expected leaders of the defense. While the South Florida region of Class 2M is expected to be tough, the Chiefs have the tools once again to make another deep playoff run, if not bring home another state championship in 2022.
